On on quest to build an affordable home in Australia

Can we build our own home for under $150,000?
We certainly hope so!

We have purchased some land on Russell Island in QLD and are attempting to build a three bedroom home on the island. Our goal is for the total cost (including land) to come in at $150,000.

We are totally new to building - but purchasing an established property is simply too expensive for us. We truly hope we can pull this off, as it will give us a home and security.
